Leeds United produced one of the results of the season so far, thrashing Newcastle United 4-1 at Elland Road on Monday night. Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the standout performer as Daniel Farkeโ€™s side stayed unbeaten and moved into third place.

Newcastle, who had started the campaign well, looked off the pace and suffered their first league defeat. The result keeps Arsenal and Manchester City as the early frontrunners after Cityโ€™s controversial 1-0 derby win over Manchester United on Sunday, decided by an Erling Haaland goal that later drew VAR criticism.

The table is already looking competitive after four games. Leedsโ€™ attacking display will give other teams plenty to think about as the season progresses.

Tonight the focus switches to the Carabao Cup, with several Premier League sides in action.
